Thanks so much for all the comments this week! After seeing the generosity in our community over the weekend I am so proud of all my neighbors. Josh and I helped pass out flyers for Marion ACT’s Operation Feed at Kroger South on Saturday, it was lots of fun to watch the patrons contribute to such a great cause.  It appears our little virtual food drive will be adding 55 items to the Marion are pantries.

Bo and I will be heading to the store later this week to pick out our non-parrishable food contribution, we hope you all will be doing the same!

Last March I ran a ‘Cans For Comments’ food drive here on my blog, it was lots of fun and I appreciated all the help. (There’s no need checking the archives, shortly after the food drive I accidentally deleted all of my previous posts.) I’m going to do the same thing this year in hopes of having even more comments for 2010, there were around 30 last year. I will gather comments until next Sunday – March 14th 2010 and be donating one nonperishable food item for each comment left below. All items will be given to the 2010 Marion ACT Operation Feed the following week.

As a side note I have been working on my photography skills, our son wanted to help to give my readers some ideas of the items we will be donating in your honor.

Thanks in advance for your comments and for spreading the word, hope everyone has a great week!

If you follow me on Twitter or my FaceBook feed you know that I have an AWESOME neighbor that’s not afraid to use his snow blower. Each time it snows he is out clearing the walks, sometimes several times a day, like it is his job. In recent weeks, with around two feel of snow, he’s been by nearly two dozen times and never asks for any sort of repayment. How do I say THANKS to that?

Growing up there was no better way to tell someone you were thinking of them in a time of need, wanted to say thank you or welcome a someone new to the neighborhood was with food. What says ‘Thank You’ like fresh preserves or warm rolls? That being said, I made some ‘Fake Cinnamon Rolls’ this afternoon to share with my snow blowin’ neighbor. I’d like to know how you show your gratitude, what tells your hard work is appreciated? Leave me a comment below of your favorite expressions of thanks….. Thanks!
